How to Open an Account
Find out what the majority of the industry already knows. Revenue Sharing is simply the best model of distribution for today's Retailer.

How PPT Works

  • Retailers pay a low one-time cost to get the movies delivered to the store. This fee ranges from $0.00 to $2.00, most product is $1.50 or less. When and if the movie rents, the retailer will share a percentage of the rental rate for that film with the studio or supplier who produced or distributed it. Typically after 28-30 days, you can begin selling off your PPT units as previously viewed.
  • At the end of the six-month lease term, you can buy the remaining units at a fraction of their retail cost (typically $0-$1.75).
  • Under this arrangement Retailer's can expect to pay
between $8.00 to $12.00 per unit as opposed to
paying $18.00 to $20.00+ per unit through a
    wholesale distributor.
“…Rentrak has provided a means to increase our
copy depth to satisfy demand without increasing our
overall cost. Another benefit we have seen is the variety
of titles available that would be considered too risky
to bring into our stores if we had purchased
through a traditional supplier.”

Why PPT Works

  • You, the retailer have the ability to satisfy more customers during the critical first two weeks of release because you have more copies.
  • You can reduce the total cost you pay for each copy. The low, one-time order processing fee and the revenue sharing fees combine for a total cost-per-copy that is much less than what you typically pay through a wholesale distributor–and at a fraction of the risk.
  • The power of PPT lets you stock your inventory with more depth and variety, satisfying customer demand for a wider selection and more new releases.
  • Rentrak instantly and accurately calculates all fees and presents the detail to you for tracking and profit analysis.
  • Most retailers realize a profit on the very first rental!
